Helping People grow!

18v Li-ion Cordless Hedge Trimmer

I have two rather annoying rose bushes that grow very large very fast and then I have the horrible task of trimming them.
I used to trim them and get many thorns in my skin, back, arms and legs, which made me want to put off the job and then the bushes would grow out of control.
About 4 months ago I bought some Hedge Shears, and I found them to work well, but as I have found out they are not nearly as useful as using a hedge trimmer.

I saw that Nordic had a hedge trimmer that worked on a single 18 volt battery so I decided to try that.

There is a guard to stop your hands being hit and also to guard your hands from the blades which could chop a finger off, so always hold the blade away from you, keep childrne away and tie up the dog and be aware of where other animals are like cats, rabbits and such so that they don’t wander in the way while you are concentrating on the work at hand.

Using a hedge trimmer changes the game greatly, makes it much safer as long as you are careful and makes the job of trimming hedges, bushes and so on much easier.

The Nordic Hedge Trimmer is not the top of the range, but since I have never used one before I had no idea what to expect, but I did have hopeful expectations, like not getting thorns in my body anymore.

The hedge trimmer makes the job easier, faster, more efficient, and if you have a hedge or a suitable shrub, you can make the work a piece of art.

Being battery powered means that it is versatilve and no cords or 2 stroke needs to be dealt with.

Charger Voltage230 Volts.
Rated Voltage18 Volts – Li-ion battery.
No Load Speed20,000rpm
Blade Working Speed1200rpm

Maximum Branch Cut20 mm
Weight2.8 Kg

I do recommend this trimmer or any trimmer, simply because using one makes the job at hand mush easier.
I see that Nordic now has a double-battery version of this hedge trimmer (36 volt Li-ion Brushless Hedge Trimmer), so that means more power and I would assume more work could be done per charge.

Now that the job is less painful I am more keen to get out there and trim those thorny miniature rose bushes.

If you don’t have one and am not sure whether it would help you, you could always ask to try someone else’s and then make your decision.

All the best from
