A quick simple way to make a compass for drawing circles.

• Get some stiff wire.
• Wind one end of the wire around the pencil a few times.
• Then sharpen up the other end if you want so that it will bite into the paper/wood.

Do this as the image above shows and you have a simple pencil compass.

You can wind and unwind the wire as needed for convenience for the work you are doing.
