I work late nights on Security Patrol and needed a jacket with a hoodie that was also heated.

I have 2 jackets and a vest that are battery heated and they are excellent, but I found that while driving the security car my neck would get chilled from the cold Winter air in the early hours of the mornings.

I tried to get the M12 Hoodie months ago but the company found out after weeks of waiting that they could not get the hoodie so I had to go through another company and get one.

I got the 2XL version but I found it bigger than many of my other 2XL clothes, so beware that the M12 Milwaukee Heated Hoodie at size 2XL seems more like a 3XL size.

Its roomy on me.

I intend to get a size smaller in the near future.

Now, about powering this Hoodie.

The M12 Hoodie was designed to be powered by the M12 battery and charged by the Milwaukee battery charger.
This was one of the reasons I didn’t want to buy this Hoodie, because I didn’t want to buy yet another battery pack and charger.

To my delight when reading reviews about the M12 Hoodie I was surprised to find out that the battery for my other heated jackets worked just fine on the M12 Hoodie and even outlasted the recommended M12 battery.

So I ordered the Hoodie and found it to be bigger than I expected. This is no real problem, and I plan on buying the size smaller jacket in the near future.

This jacket with or without the heating has fast become my favourite jacket and I wear it all the time, at home and at work.

The jacket is heavy, and even heavier with the battery. The reason for the weight is the padding which is designed to keep the heat in the jacket and keep you warm for longer.

I have found the hoodie very helpful keeping the cold chilly air off my neck and head when driving around in cold conditions with the drivers window down shining my torch on buildings and so on.
This was the reason I bought the M12 Heated Hoodie and it works fine for that.

The heating is good, but not as good as my non-hoodie jackets, at least it seems so. But having said that I prefer the M12 Hoodie for comfort and neck and head protection from the cold.

The battery sits in a back-pocket on the M12 Hoodie and the weight of the battery tends to pull the back of the hoodie down so I extended the wire and moved the battery to the front pocket.

All the best from
James Martin Sandbrook.
