Children’s Choices.

Jimmy will go to play center.

He will wear adequate clothing that is cool enough for the day, and yet warm enough to keep Jimmy from being chilled.

Jimmy has his back-up.
His weapons are drawn and he is ready for the fight, but…
He cannot win unless he has a good enough reason for declining the offer at hand.

The offer is:

That Jim wears thin pants or shorts and a shirt (or a t-shirt etc).
The logic behind this is simple:

A) Jim needs to wear clothing that is good enough for the weather. If it is raining and hot then plainly long pants, shirt and a jersey would keep him warm and a raincoat and possibly an umbrella will help keep Jimmy dry and warm so he doesn’t catch a cold.

B) In hot weather Jimmy should wear a thin shirt or singlet and/or t-shirt. A pair of shorts is preferable. The logic for this is:

Jimmy will be cool and not heavily hot.
Jimmy will not get head aches from the heat and hot clothing.
Jimmy will not be sweaty and he won’t smell because he is sweaty or hot.

Why did the ladies mention you not wearing shorts?
