We should remember that before we knew Christ we knew only the ways of our parents and society.
Then one day we became convinced that God is there and we learned of things like Salvation, Jesus etc.
Under the guidance of society we were told to do things for ourselves, set goals and go go go.
Under the teaching’s of God we have to learn about life from a totally different angle than we have been previously taught. We are told that we should be meek, humble, kind and not to go for goals but more to submit to God’s will for our lives.
This is two different types of thinking.
To be popular and with the times we now have Christian motivators who tell us to go go go and get those goals while also telling us to submit to God. They make lots of money, satisfy the cravings of the masses, have nice cars, nice homes – but they are not doing God’s work because they are teaching a Christianity that is based on the rules of society.
A public that needs their souls lifted are rushing to these motivators for what they desperately are not finding in churches and such, they want to find God’s will in their lives and they want to be rich etc. This is mixing the old ways of evil with the ways of God.
True teachings go back to the past and are not money and self based. Instead they are about us doing things for others and loving others so much that we love them as we love ourselves. Our belief is not focused on us, but on what God wants for us.
And this is why we shouldn’t try to lay conditions down to God and say that we will do such and such if You do this etc
God was there before us. God knows what has been happening for a very long time, while we are babes trying to hurriedly get a grasp on what life is all about. God can’t tell us the plan because Satan is listening so we have to trust God totally and faithfully and God will walk with us, protecting us through the plan until it is finished – but that cannot happen if we don’t walk the walk and follow God’s guidance.
Life is not about money, or career, or whatever delights us. Life is not about doing things for ourselves and saying a prayer for someone. Life is about helping and truly helping with our time, hearts and souls. It takes good humble loving dedication to help people the way that God requires of us.
God’s ways are deeply spiritual, and so loving, and fun too. But innocent fun. The good believer in God will take much joy from seeing happiness on a babies face, or a child’s joy, or helping a young couple who need food or help with the repairs on their car etc
We are not to tell God what to do. Satan taught us to demand of society our rights, and take what is ours, and do what we want, and that the world is our oyster etc
God teaches that we don’t do it for ourselves, but we get the joy of love and life from doing for others. This happiness is deep, simple and true.
