Self Confidence and Self worth – Stephanie Beyer.

You probably have an idea of what self worth is. However, do you know how to tell between self worth and being snobbish? It is being aware of your true potential.

Self worth is your worth in this world measured in terms of how much you contribute towards it. It is your worthiness and what other people make of you.

For this, we need to understand whether or not you think of yourself as being worthy in the first place.

If you were always a not so good student back in school, did you often question what did it take to be the first in class? Did the best student get 25 hours in a day?
Was he or she blessed with supernatural skills?
Are the best students’ species from another planet?
Do they have extra chromosomes in their genes?

The answer to every single question is no because all of us are the same.
You were born with as much bones and muscles as Albert Einstein. The core biological framework was same for you and William Shakespeare.

So, what ensured that these men ended up immortalizing history, while you ended up being another dot on the map?
I am not just talking of name and fame here, success is a subjective parameter. Being successful does not mean owning a million dollar villa shores of the sea.

Success means doing something and clinching it. Your goals may be very basic – from earning two meals a day to extremely complex goals like eliminating all types of corruption from the world. It might be a minute thing that can be accomplished in a matter of minutes or something that takes years and years to achieve.

Isn’t that something to be happy about? Self worth is being sure of your own capabilities. It is the feeling where when you look at yourself in the mirror, you can give an accurate depiction of the skills you have and the work you can do. That is, you have to have a fair idea of what you are worth and how much you contribute towards the various activities of this world.

“You should neither sell yourself short nor beat your own trumpet.”

Self worth is opting for an efficient analysis and being sure that you know yourself inside out. You have to understand what you are capable of before you set out to do something.

Do you think it is possible for you to start a task without knowing if you can complete it? That is not the way it works.

You need to be certain about some things in life and that includes knowing about your worthiness. People need a certain assurance before they decide to trust you and your capabilities.

If you portray a weak picture then chances are they will judge you as being incapable and not worthy of their time and effort. When you are aware of your own capabilities, it becomes a lot easier to understand your goals and analyze if you are up for the challenge.

The confidence you have in yourself can help you conquer some of the biggest frontiers. This will definitely bring in greater rewards for you.
