He was a seen by the gullible masses as a common criminal. People had ganged up on Jesus and told lies to attempt character assassination. The masses had joined together as one to convict an innocent person who they hated, because they were foolish enough to be seduced by the lies. Imagine the things that they said about Jesus.
You see, evil uses people’s weaknesses, jealousy, greed, anger etc, to get them to do Satan’s work, so that any good person will be destroyed so that this person can no longer help the world as God wants that person to do. People do Satan’s work, and they love doing it as long as it suits their ends.
That is why when it came to the convicting of Jesus, Pilate said that he could find no fault in Jesus, and that meant as far as the law was concerned Jesus was innocent. Pilate said that he washed his hands of the matter, because he knew that Jesus was innocent and that there was no real evidence to convict Jesus of any crime at all. As far as the law was concerned Jesus was innocent.
People who were frightened of Jesus, scared of how Jesus could become more popular than them (Pastor’s, ministers etc), those who thought Jesus bad for business (health professionals who’s job was money gains from the spiritually deads unhealthy lifestyles – their bread and butter, and teachers who taught as atheists etc), and people who knew that Jesus could expose them for what they really were to the authorities etc.
Jesus was setup. He was doomed to be destroyed by those who preferred society as it was and didn’t want someone coming along and changing the world that they were happily abusing, using and profiting from peoples miseries and weaknesses.
Even most religious refused to listen to Jesus. They liked their “jobs” fleecing the people etc, and the power that society gave them.
We need to ask ourselves, who’s side are we on. Are we standing in the crowd hoping for and excited about the destruction of Christ through gossip, lies and deceit?
Depending on what side you are on, is how God will deal with you on the other side.
Remember the goat’s and sheep? Those who help people, help Christ.
Have you set someone up with lies and gossip? You have not got right with God and that person that you have hurt? Until you get right with those that you have hurt you can’t expect God to treat you as a good person, because people who do wrong and don’t make it right are not good people are they? God knows, and you can’t hide anything from God.
Can you see how God hates character assassination? It is what they did to Jesus. Do you think that God would approve of you talking about people in the effort to destroy them? Not a chance.
Do the right thing, and please, for your sake, don’t let anyone stop you.
All the best from
James M Sandbrook.
