Know when you are being groomed.
And the hardest thing to know about being groomed is that you don’t know that you are being groomed while you are being groomed, you ignore the red flags, you lie to yourself, you pretend that everything’s all right even though things happens and signs show that its all wrong.
Your children cannot tell the difference between a good or bad person, they don’t have that intelligence yet (Life teaches them that, so please don’t be the lesson that your children have to learn about this from) , they cannot tell fake love from real love and they innocently want to be loved by all adults, so they are no guide to whether a person is a good person or not.
If the person brings your children gifts, and you adore that person for that, please realise that gifts are a part of the grooming process of your children and you.

By befriending and creating an emotional connection with a child, the predator is able to gain the trust of the victim, allowing them to make the child believe the abuse is natural.
Sometimes the predator will create a good relationship with the family of the child for two reasons:
1) To give them easy access to the child; and
2) When accusations are made, they’re less likely to believe the victim.

Until we take control of our lives, the events that we don’t want to happen will keep happening and the people we don’t like and don’t respect will stick around.
