Children playing around, using scrap wood, random bits of plastic, wood, steel, anything they can use they can make something out of it if left to their own devices. This makes them confident, able, creative, and because they can use and play with what they have made. This is solid proof to them that they are creative and useful human beings. This is good for their confidence, enjoyment of life, and belief in themselves.

This is something that we must encourage.

One day both Jimmy and Grace decided to make themselves a toy plane from the scrap wood in the back yard.

As far as I can recall they didn’t ask to use the wood, they just went out and did this for the joy of making a big place and then pretending to be flying up in their makeshift plane.

This is not fancy, but it is what they thought was fun for a couple of days. Because we all used Microsoft’s Flight Simulator we are all familiar with the parts of a plane and how a plane flies. On MS Flight Simulator there are tutorials to help us learn how to fly and the basics of modern flight.
