Love is many things and if society was run by Love we would be much happier people.
I want to give you an idea what love is so you know how to interact with others in a loving caring way and also what to expect from others, and how to measure your life where love is concerned.
If you have been hurt by someone romantically and it was mean and harsh, then what you had was not love.
The best explanation I have ever read of Love, is this:
If we humans were to use Love to direct our paths, our relationships, our choices, our futures, the world would be a much better place.
What this means is that if we were to make choices between making money and being cruel to other humans, animals, or to pollute the environment, we would choose to find an option that was good for all and healthy, if it wasn’t it wouldn’t be chosen, because when you love something (people, planet animals, you don’t hurt it, you are not cruel to it, you see it with empathy - meaning that you are seeing with care, compassion, and making sure that all that you are involved in is good for all involved).
In our friendships and romance we would always choose a fair option that suited all.
Love
also means sacrifice.
When I was a single dad on welfare if the money was lot I would
miss meals so that the children would not go without food.
If politicians chose to think with logical and common sense love for the people, animals and environment then their choices would be less involved with making money and more towards meeting the needs of the people, animals and environment, so that the future would be bright, healthy and safe.
A loving relationship is equally yoked.
This term comes from the two oxen pulling
side buy side together as one.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoke
If one oxen is pulling more then the other is not taking on as much load but will at the end of the day get as much feed and reward as the harder working oxen.
If one of the oxen was not attached to the yoke then that one would do less work.
If one were to turn, stop, etc, the the other would be tossed around, would have
to change to a direction that they did not want to go on and confusion would be the
result, maybe anger and bad feelings.
Equally yoked means two people of the same mind sharing the same set of beliefs and values, with both wanting the same things in life they both have the same cares, desires and see the same thing as good times, and have the same views about bringing up children.
If the two oxen were equally yoked they would work side by side as a team, working with each other to make the way easier, to evenly take the load as one, to care for each other and to take and give as much as the other, equal input and taking from both.
If our marriages were well thought out before the marriage, and the two found out that while attracted to one another physically they were also of the same mind and about life then the marriage would go far smoother with both side by side making the way easier, bonding happily with each other and side by side as one.
