Christian/Religion Studies

This is a collection of studies for the public to use to help them understand the various religions of the world and their beliefs.

The Gospel of John:

According to John (Kata Ioannen).

John and his brother James were called the Sons of Thunder.

Mark chapter 3, verse 17  And James the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James; and he surnamed them Boanerges, which is, The sons of thunder:

James and John were the sons of Zebedee.

The Gospel of John is the odd Gospel out. This is the one that does not match the others as Sesame Street would put it. The first three Gospels Matthew, Mark, and Luke are
called the synoptic Gospels and this is because they describe many of the same events. These events may be written somewhat differently, but they are still the same events.

John mentions events, history and teachings that are not found in Matthew, Mark and Luke.
