Many parents feel that they have come through a hard life, have grown in learning and are capable of making strong rational decisions and have a Belief System that is fact.

Because of this rather stubborn attitude many parents only pass on to their own children what they believe in and they deliberately ignore the other options that you have.

For instance if they are of the Catholic Religion then that is what they will pass on to you.
They are very unlikely to share with you the Baptist or Protestant views in a favourable light because in their eyes they have found the way and they want you to only believe in that way as well.

Same for Politics. They are strong Left or Right in politics and they want you to be that way as well.

In being so in mind they refuse to show you as their child a positive view of the political party who they dislike and disagree with on many policies.

Chances are, that they got their liking for that particular political party from their own parents who taught them the same as your parents are blindly teaching you. And they got their dislikes of the other political parties from their own parents as well.

You have many options in life.

You have far more than your parents shared with you, or what society says that you have.

And part of your life journey is discovering these options and deciding which are for you and which are not.
