Emotions and feelings need to be balanced so a person sees the good and the bad,
but will not let the bad overcome their life with negative thinking.

Sometimes I think of my children and my relationship with them when they were babies. I used to take them outside and show them the insects, the flowers, and the trees. We would do this for about an hour at a time. I did this with every child and it was always a highlight to my morning and to the child’s morning. In doing that I was showing them the wonders of the world, and many times while doing this I saw something new, or felt lifted in a new positive way from the experience of showing my children nature.
I thought that I was only educating them to nature, but truly I was opening their eyes up to see the tiny insects, to marvel at the clouds, the sky, the sun, the moon, the birds flying overhead or those flying around our own yard, the seasons etc. This planet is a Living Planet, it is alive and it is a marvelous part of Creation.

Hope is out there, love is out there, God is out there. The world, life and a good family are all wonderful. But when a mind becomes overcome with fear, doubts, depression the mind (with the help of evil) has created a filter that is a lie. It is a filter that lies to the heart and tells the heart that there is nothing left on earth to enjoy and that life is useless. That filter is wrong.
Logic tells us that at some time in our past (for many of us when we were young, innocent and children) we were happy to be alive.
Common sense tells us that a darkness has come to our life, but like all dirt, smog and fog it can be removed and once again the light shines and hope is seen once again.
When the mind is depressed it walks away from opportunities.

When the mind is walking in the light it walks boldly and happily towards love and opportunities.
The hope cannot even get through until the person lets it through. As long as the person is swimming in doubts and misery they cannot see the light.
There was Jacques, a blind man. He told of how at the dinner table he would set everything out exactly where he could get everything. The salt went to his right, the pepper next to it, his drink to his left etc. But when he got angry or frustrated due to a dinnertime conversation then his mind would become fogged up with his negative feelings and he would knock something over, and that would make him even more frustrated or angry and it would get worse and worse. When he calmed down he could find everything again.
Depression is like that. It clouds the mind and all that one can see is the negatives. The more mistakes that we make the more our negative thinking mind magnifies them into bigger fears and to bigger problems than what they really are. The positives are there but they are not seen due to the fog-of-doubts, unhappiness etc.
Once the depression is gone, the fog has lifted, and one can happily and confidently take the blessings given to them.
If you are depressed then your doubts and personal feelings about life are a part of a “state of mind”, they are not reality. The negative state of mind turns us away from what we deserve, and it also turns us away from those who can help us find a way out of a negative mental state.

To prove that they are not reality, is that a depressed person’s gloomy thinking is not my reality, but it once was, and I spoke exactly like they do in the past. I got out of depression and into the light.

Life will get better but we all need the courage to get tough on ourself and walk through the fog to see the light.
And the more we push forward, the more the fog disappears, and the light takes over our life once again like it did many years ago.
