Considering your future and making plans:

Let us look at who we are today and what we want to be.

Some questions:
• Are you happy as you are today?
• Are you the person you always wanted to be?
• Have you filled your childhood dreams?
• Can you look at yourself in the mirror feeling pleased about yourself?
• Does the future frighten you?
• Are you with the people that you want to be with?
• And there are many more questions that you could ask yourself.

Take a pencil and paper and write down the changes that you want to see in your life.
By writing this down you can see clearly in front of you what you want to do and what you want to be in the future.
You can make some clear decisions here, right now, today, just by taking the time to seriously consider your future. Use your imagination. Tell yourself that God is behind you and will help you achieve your dreams.

Coming to terms of who you are now, warts and all, is a brave thing to do. It takes courage. take away the makeup, fancy hair-styles, and the additional earring’s and such and you will find the real you. It can become a surprise to find that we haven’t met those childhood dreams and instead as teenagers were whisked off to the den of partying and sinful living when we should have been putting together the plans that would last a lifetime with the person that we would marry and focus on having a family and career of some sort.

Designing your future is between you and God. Other people may make suggestions but be sure to have the final decisions made by God and yourself. This is simply because you are special, you are genuine, and your needs and wants are genuine and are between you and God only.

Look at the larger picture in your mind of your future. have you been trying things and they haven’t worked out? Are you hanging out with he wrong crowd? Have other people pushed you into a school, career, designs of their choice and not yours?
Everything that you do that doesn’t sit right in your heart you should deeply consider changing. God knows your heart, follow God. After writing down the answers to these questions and any others that come to your mind the next step is to find ways to make your dreams come true. If your desires are good and worthy then God will guide you to them (we cannot expect God to guide us to selfish dreams because He won’t). Start taking action, convince yourself that your choices are worth looking at and discussion. Be with people who are interested in helping you without any gain for themselves. Create that desire to make those worthy dreams come true.

Writing down your future plans helps give us some focus on what we want to do and want to be. We can think about what we want.
