Its rather frustrating for religious people to try to explain why people who are obviously evil or just bad people have what appears to be God-Given Talents. The religious want people to assume that the talented people are given talents by God but only if they are good people.
People often say that we are born with talent, and this is true. Many people have to try hard at doing things over and over again for many years while some people are just what seems like born with what they can so easily do, and many at a young age.
When we are born we are neither good or bad, we are a baby who is yet to be formed mentally, we don’t have any habits and so on yet. But the Talents that we have that were given to us by God for the good of the human race are there, just not experienced or developed yet. As a child we don’t even know that we are capable of what other people struggle to do, and we can do it easily.
We are here to help people with God’s help, thus we have abilities and talents. The issue is how we turn out as an adult. Thus, if we are very good with a guitar, or at politics, have the gift of the gab, yet we were abused as a child, grew up hating life, grew up as a narcissist, abuser, or just selfish or mean, we still have those God-given talents.
God gave them to us before we were born, not after we were born, thus we don’t have to be a good person to have these God-Given-Talents, and this is why if you Believe in God are horrified that the person who you dislike a lot for being a bad person is so talented at something of which he or she is leading many people astray with.
For myself, I found it frustrating wanting to encourage people to believe in God but people were flocking to very unhealthy idols who would lead them to unhealthy lifestyles, and all through this these idols seem to be amazingly successful, especially financially.
What I wanted to do was say, all good people have good talents and can be seen as successful. But in a time in history where Materialistic Lifestyles are the norm, people, especially the young, they seek idols who are wealthy, rich, famous, and these young people want to see this as a life goal to be like these people or at least to continue to adore them and buy their music, watch their movies and this helps the materialistic idols stay rich and look attractive to the younger fold of society.
When Mature Parenting is put aside for Career and Personal Lifestyle, the young are easily influenced and easily seduced by Materialistic Views and Materialistic Lifestyles because of their lack of understanding the difference between good people and bad people, what is a good lifestyle to have, and what type of people and living to avoid.
Many people never get over their desires to adore people who are really bad people but they have talents that make people adore them.
So, instead of avoiding bad people, bad music, bad movies/actors and so forth, they live out their lives adoring these people. The people who they adore hoard money selfishly, and yes they may do the odd public relations work for charities to look good, but the reality the money hoarded in their bank accounts could be helping poor families eat. The people are not judged by their personal habits like selfishly holding large amount of money and hoarding it, they are only judged by the song they sang, or the book they wrote, or the movies they act in.
To have a better world we, the public, need to be able to appreciate people’s talents, while also refusing to idolize anyone, while also being Life Educated enough to know what a good person and good lifestyle are, and refusing to contribute to selfish people’s bank accounts.
I personally like a lot of actors, actresses, musicians, but I don’t adore, and I don’t promote what I am dubious about. Sometime I dislike an artists work, but one song or one movie stands out – and that particular movie or song may be the reason why God gave them their talents.
The point here, is that we are all born with talents, and what we do with them, good or bad, and to influence the younger people good or bad, is up to us. But God hoped and trusted us to do good with ours.
When I see an actor or actress or musician or band and they are a bad influence I realise that it was the influences of their past that led them to go that way – not many people can have a bad past, be abused, and come out a warrior for good, God and Love, but some do. Many just become as they are. But the best way to have a better world is to prepare our young to like a song, but not adore the band or singer, or to like a movie, but not adore those who are in that movie.
Being like this, we remain “changeable”, good in heart, and understanding of other people’s ways and lives, and we are mature enough to recognize a bad thing when we see it, and we back off knowing that too much influence will cause us to adjust our lives to joining an unhealthy lifestyle.
Please remember, your children learn from you, so please, be a worthy influence for them. Stay strong in good healthy living for them and yourselves.
