We know that if we stop using muscle we tend to lose muscle, thus we need to keep active to be active.
One of the reasons why we use less muscle when we get older is Pain.
If we have a sore elbow, or knee’s, or another joint, back pain and so on, we tend to get tired of the pain over a period of time and we use those muscles less as a response to pain.
For example. If your knees are sore with age you try to kneel, but as the months and years go by you get tired of the struggle to get down and get back up so we humans tend to naturally decide that the pain is not worth the effort and we stop getting down as much. Maybe we get someone else to do it, or we just avoid that job if we live alone, because pain is tiresome, annoying and never seems to stop.
The big problem is that when we stop getting up and down to get on our knee’s we stop using our arm, back, leg, waist etc muscles as well for that effort. And then after a long time of not getting down on our knee’s we have to do it one day and the struggle is terrible, but only because we are not physically used to doing this activity anymore. All the muscles that are normally used for this activity have not been used in a long time, so they are now weakened.
We need to approach the problem with logic and common sense and realise that there are ways to deal with such pain, such as using various forms of support that the medical profession can supply. Wearing a knee warmer or brace, or knee pads to soften the knee hitting the ground, and also taking various supplements like NMN which are said to be of use in this area. Just giving up should never be an option.
If we suffer knee pain, and we keep lifting ourselves up and down,, and another person just gives up and stops trying, if you need to get down on your knee’s to do a task your muscles will still be used to trying and it will be much easier for you to achieve this goal than the person who has given up.
The goal as we age should be to just keep trying, even with pain, but also to find ways to keep muscle growth good, maybe protein supplements for keeping muscle healthy and growing or what the doctor suggests, use ways to keep the particular area warm, or use ice, or whatever is required to still keep you as active as you can be as you age.
The less you do and the more relaxed you take life, like watching TV most of the day, the less muscle mass you will have and the less you can do because you will become less active.
Also it is wise to keep your sports activities up, even if you do them slower, keep using those muscles, keep trying to be active. Meeting with other people of your own age who are in that sport helps as well.
Eat healthy as well, and look for Natural ways to stay healthy and promote muscles health. Don’t be afraid of Natural medicines and natural foods, and consider for your own good giving up the foods that cause illness and so on. Watch videos and documentaries on Natural health and also on your particular pain area, and also the cause of your pain.
You being and remaining mobile is worth the money you spend and the effort to remain active.
