I have been in the same situation as a single dad, first with two children, then with 4.
I know all about missing meals, on the phone trying to keep the electricity connected, the phone being cut off. I gave up smoking, gave up alcohol, didn’t do drugs, and still we were desperately struggling at times.
We people need to look to the cause of the misery, and the cause is the government, banks and big business. They make the rules of society. They have “all their needs met”, and they have top quality food, holidays, the best clothes, great health care etc, etc. Their children get feed the best food all the time. They never worry about the cost of going to the doctors. They are showing zero respect for the common people, because to them we are not important, to them they are important.
The government, as “servant’s for the people”, are supposed to “meet our needs”.
Healthy non-chemical food is a need.
Healthy water is a need.
Heat is a need.
Warm clothing is a need.
A stable roof over our heads is a need etc.
When a political party is voted in it is because we, the people, hold hope in a better future under their leadership and we put faith in them, and to thank us they keep the rich rich, and they keep us poor. We have suffered decades of both the National Party and the Labour Party doing this. Neither has the guts to face big business and ensure that the people’s needs are met, and neither will Winston Peters, he is also cut from the same cloth.
They have seduced us into thinking that we give large amounts of money to them in various taxes etc so that they can all live the high life while we cannot even meet “the needs in life to survive” for ourselves or for our innocent children. The political system made it law to give them tax money, and they used the laws to punish us if we don’t give them tax money. It is only set up for their progress and enjoyment.
The whole political system, the law systems (that protect the political system), the banking system (which holds and protects the money of the rich and big business and makes them even richer at our cost), is completely designed so that they will have a smooth life of good living and luxury, while the general public slave away their whole lives struggling the whole time.
We have a prejudice system in place that is totally legal and accepted by all. This is the “Class System” that allows people to judge people according to how much money they have.
The rich are admired, honored and respected because of how much money they have and that transmits into power because the Midde-Class and Lower-Class need money to buy things that they need to survive. The rich know that they have power over us.
Only the small amount of people have no debts and are free of financial struggle. The middle class are mostly always in debt paying off one thing or another, loans, mortgages, cars, etc.
The lower class struggle the most and are condemned and legally looked down upon and treated bad by business. Because business know that they will gain very little from the poor, so they don’t care about them. Big business has nothing to do with love and compassion for the people, it is all selfishness – they are just looking after number 1.
Maori, Islander, and European type issues are always argued about, like the treaty, and all the while these are not our main concern. Our main concern is the legal unfair biased system that judges and condemns the low wage earners, the crippled, mental ill, unemployed and on the DPB.
The reason that we have poor is because it is legal, and isn’t a problem that the rich feel that they need to deal with, so they ignore it.
All the best from James Martin Sandbrook.
