Have you noticed that people say, “She gives me a headache.” and you can see that the speaker has a headache.

Or, “That Joe is just a pain in the neck.” while the person rubs their neck.

Charles Shultz new about this when he showed Charlie Brown grabbing his tummy bending over with pain and sickness when Lucy would tell Linus some ridiculous explanation for something.

When other people affect us, it is our own self that determines where we will be affected and the intensity of the physical feeling.

And the physical affect can have something to do with what we feel about the other person.

On a more positive note, a man sees someone he loves and he gets a warm pleasant feeling at the sight of her.

A lover may see someone they love, admire and adore, and feel deeply aroused at the sight of the person of their dreams.

Or another person tenses up and feels very angry at someone.

Someone deeply in love is denied that love can give themself a sex/masterbation addiction.

Some people when faced with what looks like a bad situation that they don’t want to face can create a totally imaginary illness and require surgery, but once opened up it is found that there is nothing wrong with the person.

We choose what happens according to our state of mind, our fears and worries, our doubts about life, and our doubts about ourself.

The cure is facing the cause (another person possibly, an event etc) and getting right, sorting it out, being courageous, facing the facts about what needs doing, and then getting it done.

All the best from James M Sandbrook.
