I have been using another product like this and had excellent results so I decided to try Aquaseal. And so far I have found this to be an efficient product and have had excellent results.

Image 2 shows a broken shoe. Just a normal sneaker/sandshoe.
The steps are easy
Wipe the area of dust and dirt.
Then get something to use as an applicator – a ice-block stick is good or some flat wood, and squeeze some of the adhesive from the tune onto the applicator or some old wood or newspaper.
Now apply a reasonable amount of the adhesive around the shoe where it has come apart.

I put a weight on this shoe, after the adhesive was applied to the surfaces, to hold it down and left the shoe to dry overnight. In the morning it looked like Image 3.

I have been wearing this shoe for a few days with no trouble at all, and used it one night on a 10 hour security shift with no problems. In one case I stood in a puddle in the dark on patrol and no water got into the shoe.

The reason I fix my own shoes is I dislike seeing things thrown away and like to challenge myself to see if I can get a few more months out of something.

I have been fixing my own shoes and boots for many years with great success. These footware glues are very solid when they dry. In some cases I have just rubbed in some of the glue in cracks in my work boots and the crack is sealed perfectly.

I do recommend that you try such products and have a go at repairing your own shoes if you have not done so.

Aquaseal would be useful for repairing school shoes. The repairs can look neat and tidy as if no repair was done.

All the best from
James M Sandbrook.
