I have been practicing this a lot in recent times. “I make up my mind to do something and then I refuse to dwell on it after the decision is made”.
The way I see it, I can talk myself out of doing something thinking negative thoughts, and I know that I will just waste more time fretting about it tomorrow, as well as the next day, and the next day, and so on. Nothing changes and nothing gets done.
I have discovered that if something is on my mind a lot then it needs attending to.
So I finally got to the stage where I got tough on myself and said that what I was doing was ridiculous and completely unfruitful, it seemed that all I was doing worrying my life away over something that I knew deep down inside I wanted to do.
So I tell myself to have a go. That I must at least try so that I can find out what it’s happening, what the facts are, and whether this thing that is bothering me will be a great blessing in my life.
Worrying about what the answer will be is pointless because we are putting thoughts into other people’s head before they even think them. More than likely they will not think those thoughts because that person does not think like we do.
And to be fair, if we are truthful, honest and put our heart into trying, most people will always react well to a person’s genuine effort.
So before you judge the other person with negative thoughts, how about you go see that person and give them a chance.
There is a good chance that you got all fussed up about nothing, and what seems to be a certain situation is completely different to what you assumed and all will work out great for you.
Do please make your choice, refuse to entertain negative thoughts and do what you need to do.
All the best from
