Instead of reacting to other people’s anger…

I have, in a way, been doing this for years. Instead of reacting to other people’s anger I let them rant (and not let it upset me) and either try to talk to the other person or just walk away.

To react (as we were taught in security guard training) the same negative way that someone verbally attacks is still just make the angry person worse.

In martial arts we were taught to only used violence as a last resort, and even then block and strike pressure points, but don’t hit the other person unless there is no other choice.

All the best from James Martin Sandbrook.
