In the understanding of True Life, Love, and why are we here, we can use some common sense and logic to find out what God has been trying to tell each of us all our lives. The goal is Love in all things that we do, in all our thinking, in all our ways and all our doings. This is very obvious because God is Love. So God will try to teach us genuine Love after society has taught us the opposite.
*
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.
The Fruit of Love is given to us by the Holy Spirit “if” we listen with faith and adjust our lives so that we are Love to the world – The true believers path is to be living examples of selfless love.
The Fruit of the Holy Spirit is:
Love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
*
An apple tree bears fruit if it is planted. “If Love is planted in the child” then the result will be for that child in his or her life is Love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
God was saying here, if you want a better life you must put on the armour of God, you must dress your children mentally and spiritually in the armour of God and they will bear good Fruit, the Fruit of the Holy Spirit within.
If a soul does not know Love, and his or her life is not a reflection of Love, then they know not God.
To know God you must know genuine love and not some modern society fake love. You can tell who really knows Love because that person will Walk in the ways of Love. Love is an active word. Love sits in the heart, so when the person makes decisions he or she will use the Mind and also the Heart and then choose. To know a persons’ real character look into their ways, how they act, don’t make excuses for them, see how they truly are in all things that this person does.
To be a true follower of God and to be close to God and Gods ways we need to measure up “everything” against Love. For instance a person who say that he or she loves us because they feed us, they clothe us, yet are they patient?
Are they kind?
Are they envious?
Do they boast?
Are they proud?
Do they dishonour others?
Are they self seeking?
Are they easily angered?
Do they always bring up the past wrongs, especially yours?
Do they delight in bad things, in evil ways?
This scripture is a measurement to measure other people by, to measure ourselves by, to measure our own ways, thinking etc by.
The person may feed you, put a shelter over your head, buy you gifs, and speak of love, but if they don’t measure up in the list above then they are using you, tricking you, narcissistic, deceiving, dishonest etc. God gave you the list to measure up all people so that you can know the true difference between a good soul and a bad one, and then you are supposed to have the courage and faith to walk away from such unworthy people no matter what they do for you in a materialistically way or what they say to you, words are cheap so be weary.
Another point is that if you are miserable in the heart and yet you have what society calls the perfect life then you are not receiving what your heart and soul need to be truly blessed and happy. Something is wrong in your life, and it is most likely the people who you are with.
Once you leave the company of the fakers, liars and cheats, you gain Love, Joy, Peace, Forbearance, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness and your own Self-Control, you will be respected and loved for who you are, and you will love and respect yourself – these are the fruits of God and godly living.
All the best from James Martin Sandbrook.
