Electronic Guitar Tuners

Back to Music Page.

I recommend that you get a Guitar tuner if you have a guitar, the electronic sort. I have been in professional guitar stores and the staff use these. I have used many types of tuners and these clip-on one’s work well.

I have replaced the battery once in the ET-33 shown in the images and owned it about 2-3 years now. I am not advertising the ET-33, just mentioning it because it is what I have.
The image left It shows the 3rd String (G).

When I pluck a string this Electronic Tuner listens to the sound and then the arrow (pointing upwards in the image) points in either direction giving an indication of whether the string needs to be tightened or loosened.

Many state that the string that you are tuning should be loosened first just a tad and then adjusted in either direction according to the arrow after you have played the string.

There are many brands, and more complicated Electronic Guitar Tuners than this one, but these small Electronic Tuners that attach tot he guitar are all you really need.

The “G” in the bottom of the images is to show that the tune is set to tune guitars. If it was set for violins it would show a “V” at the bottom.

These are very easy to do and you don’t need to be an expert with one of these to tune your guitar as a beginner.

Used for Guitar\Bass\Ukulele\Chromatic.

because these are so easy to sue it means that everytime you use your guitar it will be all tuned up and ready to use.

As time goes by you will become more and more “tuned in” to the sound of the strings and you will be able to hear if a string is “out of tune”.

All the best from
