Parenting & Children Notes.

Once I was told from a young teenage girl that her parents used to yell a lot at them. After many years of that bad habit (bad behaviour) the parents stop yelling at the children, they became focused on changing themselves for the better. After some years the children only lived with one parent, but they claimed that if the parent didn’t yell at them then it “seemed” that the parent wasn’t really upset at them – at least this was how the children often felt.

So even when you change your ways as a parent, there may still be some misunderstandings between you and your children or husband or wife about what is going on, what you are trying to achieve and whats they don’t understand in the value of your new positive change and what it really means for the whole family.

Total honesty is needed here, where all members of the family speak to each other often, and discuss any issues that may come about. such as this one where the children seem to have trouble dealing with the good change in the parent/s.
