Repent:
The message is clear in the Bible, repent!
To deeply regret one’s past ways and to turn over a new leaf turning from the past to being someone new. All things become new after repenting and following Christ.
To repent is to have such deep agony of the actions of ones past for pride, lusts, and self interest. To be so stunned and shocked at what one has become to be so deeply cut up emotionally inside that one will be totally committed to change for the better. To discard the ways of the past, to discard the sins of the past, to be like Jesus in every way that we can as little Christs. To change and be a light in a lost world becoming darkened by evil. Repentance means deep total commitment to change for the better no matter how long it takes.

In my mind I cannot say that I have repented if I continue the ways of the past before I found God. Saved by Grace and repented by choice. For the change will bring a more understanding, caring person who will be a help to other people. Self control and self improvement are to change one’s mind and actions from the old ways to new ways. To take up our cross and follow Jesus. Repentance is very important if we want a fruitful walk with Christ.
