Selfless Love.

Selfless Love.

Selfless:
(The Free Dictionary) self·less.
Having, exhibiting, or motivated by no concern for oneself; unselfish:

(Altruism)
The Free Dictionary:
Unselfish concern for the welfare of others; selflessness.)

Giving oneself to others in a deep genuine sense of love that knows no selfishness, and because a person has a loving heart that wants to help other people have a good life. It is a love where giving what you have to another person will help that other person become better in some sense.

Knowing that it is right to put others before yourself when they are in need. This word, selflessness, reminds me of a person being humble. A parent who doesn’t have a career and instead spends her or his time at home looking after their children is thinking of their children before themselves.

Selfless love is putting your own interest aside for another person or people because they need help from somebody, its because you care and love them. If one complains and is unhappy about the situation then that is not being selfless, that is being forced into a situation.

Devoting yourself or time to others in your heart, your soul and your actions shows that you love others enough to give away something of yourself without wanting a return for your love and kindness. If you are thanked or rewarded then that is nice, but this is not a requirement of a genuine sweet heart.

In my view in the family home the children come first. The parents have to make sacrifices if need be. Children are the innocents ones that need our adult maturity (and our protection) to help them through their young lives. We are to guide them and our great love for them will put them first. Selflessness. I believe in parents sacrificing for their children.

Selfless people are often the unknown heroes of families and may even go to their death without people knowing of the sacrifices that they have done for other people because their love for the other person is so strong that they will risk their own health etc for those people.

This type of love overrules our desire to be selfish and instead we are selfless. We can give so much of ourselves to others. This does not go unnoticed by God.

Genuine care comes from the heart. Genuine sacrifice comes from the heart and soul that cares to the extent that they put other people before their own wants and needs at various times.

It is wise always to look after ourselves, but sometimes we can go without for others because we know that this is the just thing to do. It is Righteous and Just. Unselfish concern for the welfare of others; selflessness, and it is wise to consider how the world would be if everyone were like this.

Jesus was a good example of this topic.

All the best from James M Sandbrook.
