When a person becomes angry it is obvious from the outside because the angry person is tense mentally, and that makes that person tense on the outside.
Their muscles become tense, they make fists etc.
Inside the same things happen. We twist up our internal organs and muscles because “all of us is angry”.
Can you imagine a woman full of hate and anger at another person and she sees that person every day. Her insides twist and go tense as she let’s the negative emotion rise. The reality is that her hatred is destroying her. Her hatred is twisting her insides.
They had a case of appendicitis, or so they thought. When the patient was opened up the appendix was in good condition. But the bowel was squeezed down so tight out it was blanched white. This person was stressed.
We tense the muscles and such inside us when life gets us down, but what we don’t realise is that we are seriously hurting ourselves internally.
Many people have “imagined ulcers” , they are feeling all the pains of an ulcer etc, but the reality is that the agony that they are going through is stress.
If you are really stressed out about something it can slowly eat away at you until it kills you.
I know a young woman that has an illness appear recently, but only when she moved into a flat, and I know that the stress of being alone affects her alot. She had an operation, and you can bet that of it was a wrong diagnosis that they won’t tell her. They will just sew her back up and tell her and her family that they operation was a success.
They are professionals and they don’t often admit mistakes, that is bad for business and their reputations.
The reason that Jesus and the Bible recommends a calm peaceful life is because it is personally very good for us.
If we are calm then we are relaxed. People say that as long as we are relaxed we will live a long healthy, active life.
Do you get it?
Modern Society is fast paced even when it seems to be slow. People play hard, work hard, and eventually come out of it suffering in some way physically. And often they complain and blame God for their self-imposed misery.
The Bible says that we get what we dish out. When we hate, and falsely blame, condemn etc, we cause our own self to suffer. Hate is totally self-defeating, self-destructive and foolish. Haters don’t win, not in the long run.
We were designed for peaceful living. When Jesus said for us to love our neighbours, Jesus knew full well that if we love people and not hate them life will be healthy for us.
Please read this a few times abs think about it.
