Porridge.

 

I am writing this for people who have not tried Porridge and not experienced it for breakfast before.

Porridge is a healthy cheap tasty replacement for the other ‘not so healthy’ breakfast offerings in the supermarkets, and is eaten in homes worldwide.

Porridge can be fast to make, easy to eat, and can be presented with fruit to make a nice easy tasty breakfast.

Porridge is easy on the tummy that has just woken up and is ready for the day.

Because Porridge is light it travels through the system in a healthy way while also being a source of protein and fibre for the body.

I have not eaten Porridge for some years so I made sure to buy some last week as I am looking for healthier ways to eat. What I used to do in the past was put in dried fruit or raisins and the like to make the Porridge more palatable and interesting. I had Porridge for breakfast with some mixed fruit and it was a tasty htreat.

½ Cup of Porridge
1 Cup of Low-Fat Milk or Water, or half of each.
In a saucepan bring to the boil and cook for 60 seconds. Cool, then serve.

Please remember, if you prefer (some don’t) add some slices of banana, raisins, fruit mix, whatever you wish to make this meal delightful for you.
