The Power Inside You

There was a man who had become a new Christian who decided to Fast for a day or so.

Excited and all prepared he started out with prayer and water. By 11am he was very hungry.

His mother walked in with something that she had made that was his favorite (cake if I remember correctly) and he totally weakened and ate some.

Shocked and horrified at how weak he was, he told himself off. He hadn’t even made it to lunchtime on the first day. He was devastated at how weak minded he was, and he was very disappointed at his lack of self control.

Then furious at himself and his weakness, he set about Fasting again, and he didn’t eat solid food for another 40 days. He had the power to succeed in him all the time.

Most of us don’t realize, that the power to succeed is in us all the time. We just need the reason, the determination, and the stubborn courage to make it happen and to see it through.

The love that you are living, “is yours”, you don’t have to listen to others. And if you are scared of facing them and standing up for yourself, please know that the power to face all the obstacles had been inside you all the time, but power is useless unless you activate it and use it.

Don’t fear your fears. Instead be determined to prove to yourself that your fears are not going to stop you succeeding.

Remember, the power for your happiness is inside you. It has been there all the time. It waits for your command, it waits for your direction, it waits for you to use the power for action.
