Doing the chores of the home doesn’t need to be a hard task.
I do housework to music, and so while doing boring tasks I am singing and enjoying the music that I like. So for me it is good times.

We can change what is a boring time by adding something to make it more fun. I deliver papers for my son (he gets pocket money for this) to give me exercise and to get fresh air, meet people and animals, but I also play the music that I like when I do this, this stops it from being boring.
When doing housework when my children were smaller I saw the job as a pleasure because it meant that they would have a clean and tidy home and that they would be warm and comfortable. I also wanted them to have the right clothes ready (like in Wintertime) for the weather conditions and in case they had to go out to a friends place etc.
The point here is that doing what is right in the home is not just for the glory of God – “cleanliness is next to Godliness” – but because it is a worthy thing to keep a clean and tidy home. Children don’t get sick often when they have a clean home and they know about being a clean child etc. (washing their hands etc).
I am not talking about a perfect super clean home. No one has a perfect home with children in it because they like to have a fun good time and running around the home. There is nothing wrong with all of that. Just be sure to help them know that they must clean up their own mess – that teaches them responsibility.
If something is worth doing then we should do it knowing that good will come from it because it is worth doing. Just because a good thing is boring still does not mean that it shouldn’t be done. Please consider the worth of the things that you do and all those that will benefit from your efforts.
