Holding Screws, Nuts, Bolts etc.
When we are pulling apart a project or putting one together we need a place to hold screws, nuts, bolts and so on. For this we can use magnets, and a jar lid.
Ever since I was a teenager I have been getting magnets from Electronic Speakers.
The Speakers come in all shapes and sizes and the same for the Magnets inside. We can do a lot with the magnets that would otherwise be dumped and buried forever at the local dump/tip.
Take a jar lid, put a magnet under it and you have a magnetized jar lid. Put your screws in it and thats it, they are going nowhere.
As you can see in Images 2 and 3 the screws stay in the jar lid.
The shape of the big magnets that come from Speakers sit on the table with the jar lid on top perfectly.
They would be excellent I would imagine for big jar lids or big metal containers and bigger nuts and bolts in them.
If the container holding the nuts and bolts gets knocked over then hopefully none will fall out.
In Image 3 I used the small magnets that are used on fridges, and they do a good job for the small screws.
