Below is a 550W 915 x 102 mm Belt/200 mm Disc Sander.

This is a very efficient way to sand wood or steel. people use these for making knives, sharpening tools, and I mostly use it for sanding wood.

The base is cast iron and when turned on ,due to the weight it doesn’t move on the table.

Mine is sitting on a table top and doesn’t move when being used.

While one needs to be careful not to sand off too much due to the speed and efficiency of this sander, the belt and disc do an excellent job of taking away the material and sanding it smooth.
