Many YouTube video’s, books and articles recommended getting a Speed Square/Rafter Square.
I was doubtful as I had squares and thought that this wouldn’t be useful. One day I decided to get one and now can’t imagine working without one.

They are accurate, easy to store on a shelf or the smaller squares in your carpenters belt, and they are used in every project I do.

You will not go wrong with one of these.

They can be expensive so it is wise to shop around. I recommend a steel/metal Speed Square, but you could also have a few cheaper Speed Squares as well of different sizes.
