Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy.
Munchausen syndrome by proxy is a mental illness and a form of child abuse.
The caretaker of a child, most often a mother, either makes up fake symptoms
or causes real symptoms to make it look like the child is sick.

Munchausen syndrome, referred to as factitious disorder, is a mental illness that involves the sufferers causing or pretending to have physical or psychological symptoms in themselves.
• Adults aged 20-40 years are most likely to develop Munchausen syndrome.
• Women with knowledge of health care and men with few family relationships are particularly vulnerable to developing this disorder.
• Munchausen syndrome often follows or coexists with Munchausen syndrome by proxy.
• Munchausen syndrome tends to occur in a small portion of the United States population, more often in subpopulations like people who have been diagnosed with psychosis or fever of unknown origin.
• The symptoms of Munchausen syndrome has been described since at least biblical times. It was named for Baron Karl Friedrich von Munchausen, an 18th-century man who was in the Russian military and was known to tell untrue stories about the battles he participated in.
• Munchausen syndrome by proxy (MSBP) is a fabrication of illness by a third person that allows the third person, usually the victim's mother, to assume the role of caregiver.

A parent, most common a mother, can gradually make her own child sick with constant conformation in the child's mind that they are mentally or physically sick. (Factitious disorder imposed on another (FDIA or FDIoA), also known as Munchausen syndrome by proxy (MSbP)).
This is not done in public, only in private or among a few people.
The child, often a daughter, becomes the mother child/friend/companion. Doctors, mental health professionals, the Police, the Law, School teachers etc, all seem to be completely blind to what is really going on. I have witnessed this and been amazed at the professionals in these fields complete trust in the mother and what the mother says, they will even defend her.
The Doctors, mental health professionals, Police, the Law, School teachers all become "Enablers" (people who allow the crime/Narcissism/abuse to happen and continue and will even protect the Narcissist) and give the mother the power and time to destroy the self confidence, courage, and self esteem of the child under her power.
The child becomes an adult with no confidence, no courage, and completely relies on anything that the mother says because the young adult has no coping skills, they were never developed, the mother saw to that. The young adult could fall in love and if the mother says dump him she will, and if the mother seduces her daughter into marrying another Narcissist type, the daughter full of trust in mother completely, refuses to obey any gut instincts or people telling her that it is a mistake and she goes an marries the one chosen by her mother.
Its all about power, ego, control, winning and the mother child relationship lacks genuine love. To the child the relationship is of love, and the mother is someone to idolize, protect, admire (for years of putting up with the child/daughter mental and/or physical illness').
The mother knows that if the child has self confidence, courage, and coping skills then the child would not allow herself to be controlled, she would simply walk away.
The horror of this condition is that the law and authorities know about it and yet often never even see it happening right under their own noses. And so it continues.

Factitious Disorder Imposed on Self (Munchausen Syndrome), is a type of mental illness in which a person repeatedly acts as if he or she has a physical or mental disorder when, in truth, he or she has caused the symptoms. Munchausen syndrome is a mental illness associated with severe emotional difficulties.
Factitious disorder imposed on another (FDIA or FDIoA), also known as Munchausen syndrome by proxy (MSbP), is a condition where a caregiver develops a long-term mental disorder of a type involving a breakdown in the relation between thought, emotion, and behaviour, leading to faulty perception, inappropriate actions and feelings, withdrawal from reality and personal relationships into fantasy and delusion, and a sense of mental fragmentation. The name is derived from the term Munchausen syndrome, a psychiatric factitious disorder wherein those affected feign disease, illness, or psychological trauma to draw attention, sympathy, or reassurance to themselves.
However, unlike Munchausen syndrome, in MSbP, the deception involves not themselves, but rather someone under the person's care. MSbP is primarily distinguished from other forms of abuse or neglect by the motives of the perpetrator. Some experts consider it to be an elusive, potentially lethal, and frequently misunderstood form of child abuse or medical neglect. However, others consider the concept to be problematic, since it is based largely on supposition regarding a person's motives, which can be open to radically different interpretations.
