Pleasure.

Anything healthy is good for you, pleasure is as well, but if a person spent the day soaked in one form or pleasure or another they would soon tire of it, unless they were suffering an addiction.

Intense pleasure was designed for us to enjoy over a short period of time. People who think of pleasures all day and desiring it to the extent of being out of control have issues that need fixing before he or she could ever really be happy and content in life. Its like having a broken leg, until its fixed you limp in pain, if a person has a weakness then they can never fully operate as they should and it will affect their day to day life.

The pleasure of a innocent loving relationship between man and wife was designed to be felt all day.

The pleasure felt when one completes a hard task, exercise, is good, healthy, normal.

People who have addictions have unhealthy desires for pleasure, and those unhealthy desires rage within them and lead to self abuse, such as the sex addict, drug addict, alcohol addict, the approval addict, the masturbation addict, and giving them more of what they crave will do them much harm.

It seems that pleasure was designed to give us a good feeling about life, the one we love, the joy of innocent parenting, the joy of cooking for the family, working on a task, and it helps us want to stay alive, to be a part of society and so on. With the one we love we get pleasure from simply looking into that persons eyes, from hugging that person, from encouragements from that person, putting our arm around that person in ownership, and in lovemaking - this is what joy is, the whole deal.

Some people hunger for the short-term pleasures of the body in cheap relationships that last a very short period of time and are simply for the feeding of the ego and body satisfaction - this is a form of weakness in willpower, narcissism, and mental inability to cope as a normal decent healthy minded human being.

A materialistic society will support and back up what is pleasurable to the mind and body because it make money, satisfies for the moment, and then they spend a lot of time upset because they have not found love in the spiritual sense. We can’t have it both ways, if we give in satisfying the body only we lose the spiritual pleasures of innocent love.

Its like a table of delicious food and only eating one bit (like just sex) delighting in it, but leaving the rest.
True love, innocent satisfying love is taking it all, knowing that its yours, you deserve it and it is there for you if you have the courage to take it.

If we want spiritual satisfaction then we need self control, maturity, and a strong will power that refuses to be owned by the weaknesses of the flesh and of society.

Just because the many do something that is wrong it does not make it right, it just means that many people are doing something wrong.

Every human soul deserves pleasure in all its forms, but to choose Love first means that all other pleasures will follow. To choose lust means that an itch is scratched and it will return over and over again because the person never gained control over their mind and body to regain spiritual love.

You can’t have it both ways.

LOVE: We think and sing and dream about it and lose sleep worrying about it. When we don’t know we have it, we search for it. When we discover it, we don’t know what to do with it. When we have it, we fear losing it. It is the constant source of pleasure and pain. But we don’t know which it will be from one moment to the next. It is a short word, easy to spell, difficult to define and impossible to live happily without it - Author Unknown.
