Journals and Diaries, should they?

I am heavily in favour of the child expressing themselves in their work with total freedom and also knowing that they can speak out without limitations and be heard with respect, love and appreciation.

The idea of them having a personal journal is that they can write while young and then in the future look back on what they wrote, what they experienced and how they felt back then about it.

I also refused to look into their personal work and read it. As far as I am concerned they must be allowed to write personal writings and be able to know that no one will look at it.

For gosh sakes please don’t fret about you children's spelling and whether the letters are back to front and style etc while they are young. My son Jimmy got it all out of order as a child and grew up to do journalism, writing for newspapers. Below is a simple example of Jimmy as a small child, his written work what he has been doing.
