Writing - Real Life makes A Great Subject.


To get the child interesting in the hard labour of learning to write, hold a writing tool, we can ask the child to write about what he or she did that morning, or what happened the previous day, or what is happening now in the child’s life that the child finds interesting and would like to share by writing it down for others to read.


I would let the child just come up with their own subject matter from time to time and see what the child wrote.

This example below is from my daughter Rachel back in 1997. This was Rachel's first year of Homeschooling.
