Irresponsible

Of a person, their character behaviour, in general someone not having a sense of responsibility.

Irresponsible people tend to not really think carefully about what they are doing, especially with their lives.

They can be reckless, careless, only thinking of themselves for themselves, they seek pleasure and are owned by it, they can be hasty, thoughtless, and foolhardy.

One who doesn’t care to consider the consequences of one's own careless actions.

Responsible people you can rely on, irresponsible people you cannot rely on.

Said to be someone with no sense of responsibility.

Not answerable to higher authority.

Examples:

“He made a choice and as far as I can see it is irresponsible!”

“They both behaved irresponsibly and shamed themselves and their families.”

“The wealthy can be irresponsible as they permit the destruction of the rainforest for their own personal greed and gain.”

Example:

“But Father, he is adorable, all the other girls adore him at High School.”

“Honey”, said the Father in reply, “he drinks, smokes, watches TV all day long, he is irresponsible.”

“But he is popular and is sure to get a job one day.” she pleaded because she was captivated by the young mans looks and popularity.

“My dear daughter, this man is going to be the main influence on his children, and he won’t be there for them. They will grow up to be irresponsible as well, and they will choose irresponsible marriage partners, thats a dim future for you all.”
