One just never knows when he or she will need to tie a strong stable knot for someone
or in an emergency situation, or maybe even out fishing.
When Homeschooling my children

each knot out.
I felt that it can be considered a skill, so I added it to the Skills Menu. Below is some information of the subject. Enjoy!
The knots covered in this video are:
The Prepared's survival expert Jessie Krebs shows how to use Bowlines and Halter Hitches (2 of our top 3 survival knots) with a Truckers Hitch to make a tarp shelter between two trees.
Dirt Farmer Jay shares tips and "top secret" tie-down techniques sure to diminish the frustration you may experience when attempting to securely tie down a load AND be able to easily un-tie it when you are ready to unload.
In this video they are showing us 6 Single Strand Stopper Knots.
These knots range from decorative knots to practical knots. Either way, these knots are all great to know for paracord crafting and practical purposes. These knots include the Celtic button knot, monkey's fist, barrel knot, Stevedore knot, Figure-8 knot and double overhand knot.
Knowing how to tie a few simple knots will make outdoor life easier. In this video, Miranda shows you how to tie her five favorite knots—the Bowline, The Clove Hitch, the Girth Hitch, the Trucker’s Hitch and the Prusik Hitch. Check out the video, then grab a rope and start tying knots!
