How to find your Mail Profile Folder!
This is particularly useful for running old mail .msf files from old versions of Thunderbird/Seamonkey and Netscape.
- Click on the menu button or menu bar in Thunderbird.
- From the Help menu, click Troubleshooting Information.
- In the Application Basics section, Profile Folder, click on Open Folder.
- The Windows Explorer window will show the name of the profile as well as the path to it.
If you want to read old emails its easy.
- Close Thunderbird.
- Go to the folder with the old .msf files in them and then copy them (you probably should backup your current mail files.
- Then paste the old .msf files into your Mail Profile Folder- I just copied all the mail files into the folder.
- The next time that you open Thunderbird look down the All Folders List tree and at the bottom you should see your mail folders with the emails in them, its that easy.
