Width of Saw Blade & Where to Saw

It is important that we take into consideration where we saw wood and the width of the saw blade itself.

If we don’t take into account the width of the saw blade and what side to cut on we can lose that width in the project and come up short wondering why we have lost 5 mm after the wood is cut.

This is the sort of advice that a father should hand down to his children.

Otherwise, like me, the adult-children make a few simple mistakes and wonder why it is happening when it seems obvious that it shouldn't happen.

I would measure from points A to B and then saw the wood on the wrong side of the measured mark and then when I put the project together be surprised that the wood would be short of the measured target.

On the Right-Side of Point B was where I should have made the cut, not on the Left-Side.

Its these simple little things that should be obvious to us and sometimes are not to beginners that someone should tell us, as it helps us on our journey in working with wood or metals.

All the best from
